What it covers

This course builds on the foundational concepts from Financial Instruments and Technology by providing a detailed, practically oriented understanding of how derivative instruments, including options, futures, forwards, and swaps, are used to manage risk and enhance returns. You will explore financial market risk, risk management approaches, and the role of the Treasury function in corporations versus banks. You are required to integrate quantitative theoretical developments with the application of pricing, hedging principles, arbitrage, and trading strategies across major derivative classes. Additionally, you will apply innovative financial products and complex risk management tools from academic learning to authentic workplace situations and solving real business problems.
