What it covers

Students will identify a concept to explore based on their earlier study. They will formulate a conceptual project brief and investigate alternative design options. Through a series of early design studies, they will progress to the production of architectural engineering projects. They will take into account ethical and economic considerations with respect to the creative application of material / structural / performance, and/or service systems. This will include specialised study of particular design approaches and systems through application of engineering and design knowledge and theory. Students will demonstrate an understanding of the unique nature of chosen underlying approaches and systems in design for schematic and developed design outcomes. Work will be represented using appropriate physical and digital visual communication, modelling and information skills.
