What it covers
This WIL Spine unit aims to teach students how individual machine elements work, how to select and calculate them correctly for specific applications, as well as how they function in a system. Students should develop the ability to design and build mechanical engineering systems, understand the systemic implications of design decisions, understand design challenges and apply relevant theory to an industry project. Students will learn to design mechanical systems with various machine elements and ensure that all of its components work seamlessly. Students will apply professional skills in Communication, Cultural competency skills, Self-directed learning skills, and Sustainability.
