What it covers
This unit of study aims to provide you with the principles of energy storage systems and in-depth knowledge on the operation and implementation of energy storage system in current power system domain. The unit also covers different technologies of energy storage and hydrogen production/storage systems used in current electrical energy projects. The unit will focus on both grid connected and islanded Microgrids and explain how energy storage systems play a key role on addressing the intermittency of renewable energy components in the modern electrical networks.
