What it covers

In this unit, pre-service teachers explore understandings of children's social and emotional learning and the impact on their wellbeing, resilience, and academic performance. This unit provides pre-service teachers with the knowledge and skills required to develop positive relationships with children. Pre-service teachers are introduced to understandings of children's behaviour and restorative and trauma-informed practices that support children to thrive. Pre-service teachers also explore the role of external agencies and professionals in supporting children, families, and teachers
